Thank you to everyone who visited me last weekend at Waterperry gardens! Especially given the heat which was really quiiiiite the challenge in a big tent! 🫣

Here I am on day 1, already looking very hot and tired! But I rarely put my face on here and this is probably as good as it gets for a photo of me (there were worse 😅)

I'm delighted to have come home with an incredible oval ruby from a lovely lady I met on Saturday - really looking forward to this commission. I also got home to a parcel with a deep blue oval Australian sapphire for another commission. Both delicious!

It's taken me all week to get back to my bench - I think a culmination of lots of things all coming together at the same time last week, plus the heat and I've been exhausted this week!

So glad to be back in my happy space today and ready to crack on 😊

I'm just realising today the extent of my sapphire addiction as people ask me what the various gemstones are..."a sapphire"..."another sapphire"... "yep that's a sapphire too"...!

Lots of love for this rose cut sapphire today. A gorgeous yellow green with a flash of teal blue along one edge. Glorious.

Either way, it's just another gorgeous sapphire, doing its thing in 9ct Fairmined gold 💛😊

AND it was only when photographing this gorgeous freeform sapphire that I noticed it's superwoman shaped!

Didn't notice when buying it...when making the setting...when polishing... or when actually setting the stone. I think I must have been so focused in on the detail it was the photos that made me step back and see the whole!

Only problem is I want to keep it for myself - I definitely need a Superwoman ring in my life, right?? 😅

Some new pieces I've been working on for the jewellery and silversmithing fair I'm attending in just a couple of weeks!

A little 'cluster' necklace and some incredible sapphires in a new pair of Horizon Collection earrings. Plus some 'layer them up and mix and match' gold studs.

What do you think? What do you reckon the pink gem is?
