I am very proud to be a member of the Fairtrade Goldsmith Registration Scheme for small businesses.
“Fairtrade Gold is produced fairly and transparently. When buying jewellery made with Fairtrade Gold you make a difference to the miners, their families and their communities. Your support can provide them with the chance to be paid a fair price, better working conditions, build their futures by investing in social projects such as new schools and healthcare, and make their own way to prosperity”.
I also offer the option of using recycled metals. This can be your own gold, perhaps from jewellery you have inherited or simply no longer wear, which is refined and reformed into something new. Or I can supply recycled gold & silver which will have come from a variety of sources – from scrap jewellery to industry – and is then refined and sold as recycled metal. This provides an alternative sustainable option as there is no mining for new gold therefore reducing environmental impact.
