Yep. It’s October and it’s my first blog post of the year! *hangs head in shame*
In my defence, it is a Peacock year! Not sure what that is? Why it’s the Peacock Arts Trail which runs every other year and I help organise. It keeps me very very busy! It is a wonderful thing to be involved in and I wouldn’t have it any other way…but it does mean that my usual poor effort at updating my website slips even lower.
If you’d like to come and visit me on the Peacock Arts Trail, I will be exhibiting at the Almshouses in Corsham. A visit to the Almshouses is like stepping back in time and is a fascinating example of a 17th century schoolhouse. There are 10 artists at the Almshouses this year so it’s well worth a visit.
So what else have I been up to? Well I’ve updated my business logo! What do you think?
I’m really pleased with it. I spent forever looking through fonts and sketching designs. I wanted something that was really clean and unfussy, but also stood out. Any guesses at what the symbol in the middle of the ‘V’ is?
The logo is accompanied by a cleaner more minimalist look and feel to my website. There’s still lots to do but I do hope it’s easy to navigate and find lots of useful information.
As well as working on the arts trail, I have been busy busy busy with my own work. Here are a few examples of commissions I have undertaken this year –
And here are some new designs I’ve been working on –
If you’re interested in any of these pieces and would like to commission me to make the same or something similar in your size, please do contact me. Alternatively come and visit me at one of the fairs, events and exhibitions I will be involved in over the next few months. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
