This gorgeous little teardrop pendant works absolutely beautifully in 9ct rose gold.
It's a super simple design, with a fine silver chain that the teardrop slides on.
Sophie felt that a little gemstone would add a subtle sparkle to the pendant and so I was able to send her a few options to decide from.
We both agreed that a blue diamond would work perfectly as a little accent stone, flush set and offset slightly to one side of the teardrop. A fine choice!
The pendant has a soft satin finish, allowing the metal and the stone to gently catch the light without being too over the top.

Recycled Gold
This pendant was made with my Sophie's own, repurposed rose gold.
Sophie had a little gold leftover from some previous projects (more on them below...) which she wanted to use to create this rose gold diamond pendant.
In my workshop I melted, hammered and rolled the gold into shape. I made sure to do as much of the shaping by hand as possible to reduce the amount of filing involved and so as not to waste any precious metal.

It's such a priviledge to be able to reuse a client's gold (and gemstones). I truly appreciate the trust that goes into this process, especially when the repurposed jewellery is of sentimental value.

Previous Projects - Rose Gold Rings
Sophie has been a regular client of mine and over the years I've been lucky enough to make her a few special, bespoke pieces of jewellery.
I'd previously melted down some of her inherited gold to make her a shaped wedding band. This was designed to fit around a lovely teal sapphire ring I'd also had the pleasure of making!

There was then a little leftover gold from her wedding band (and some extra from a bracelet resize), and so Sophie asked me to create a set of stacking rings mixing the 9ct rose gold with silver.
The set of stacking rings included one plain silver band, one wishbone shaped silver band (to match the shape of her gold wedding band) and one 9ct rose gold ring.
Each ring has a very special engraving inside with a little star engraving on the outside of the gold ring.

So as you can see, it's possible to make some inherited or old, unworn gold go a long way to make a variety of jewellery!
I'm always happy to discuss bespoke jewellery commissions so if you some ideas and you'd like to learn more, please get in touch.
