It was lovely to see this diamond ring back on my bench for a clean and polish as well as matching it to a bespoke shaped wedding band. The ring had worn very well and has clearly been looked after as cleaning and polishing was a quick job!

This ring was a recent (ish) commission to resize and update an existing silver and gold ring. The original – which I neglected to take a photo of – was a silver band with a small plain gold section. Simple and elegant. The ring however was now too small and so to resize it, I carefully cut the gold section straight down the middle and added a gold stone setting with a flush set white diamond. This ring was commissioned by a customer looking for some old gold and diamond rings to be remodelled into something she could wear everyday for her 25th wedding anniversary. It was important to Cat to keep the sentimental value of the old rings and so I removed the diamonds and then her gold was refined and formed into new sheet metal for the new ring, with a little extra recycled gold added to make up the weight. I made this ring using 9ct recycled white gold and my customers diamond as the central stone. At a face to face meeting we discussed different options for some scattered green and white diamonds – waves, random or straight lines.
