It's all About... Teal Blue Hexagonal Sapphires
The lovely Mir got in touch earlier this year to enquire if this teal blue sapphire ring was still available. She'd spotted it at the Made In Bristol Fair back in December and the beautiful teal colour had jumped out at her!
Luckily for Mir, this ring was still available and was pretty much exactly the right size, it's like it was meant to be!
But then Mir oh so casually enquired if I had any other teal sapphires...just asking, y'know 😉
It just so happened that I had the most incredible hexagonal sapphire in stock that has allll the colours.
Teal, blue, green and yellow flashes, this sapphire changes colour in different lights and angles so it's a real eye-catcher.

A New Hex Sapphire Ring
It was a tough choice and had to be slept on to make a decision, but Mir decided to go for the slightly larger hex sapphire with multiple colours.
Both stones are utterly beautiful, but I confess I've been itching to set this sapphire for a little while now so I was delighted!
Keeping the same design, I set the new hexagonal sapphire in 9ct Fairmined yellow gold.
With a skinny 1.5mm square band and the gemstone set on top of the band so that it will stack with other rings, I've designed this ring to be a long-lasting, hard-worker, go-with-any-outfit kind of ring!

The finished ring
I honestly couldn't stop photographing this ring - the sapphire just catches the light so beautifully!

A very happy 30th birthday, Mir!

The ring arrived this morning and I've finally been able to open it on my lunch break - it's GORGEOUS and I absolutely love it!! It fits perfectly too. I'm really, really happy with it so thank you so much.
It's been really fun working with you on this and I hope you've had as much fun making it as I've had seeing the updates!
You've helped make my 30th really special and I will absolutely treasure my ring
