Ring sizing is one of the more tricky elements of buying jewellery! If the ring is for yourself I am able to send you a sizer as part of your order or commission. I may also send a mock up of your ring to check the fit and design before making in a more expensive metal.

If you are giving a ring as a surprise gift there are a few ways to secretly get a ring size…or close enough. Get in touch and I can send you a template with some instructions. A popular alternative is a simple ‘placeholder’ ring – a plain band or simple diamond ring that can be swapped for the real thing after the birthday, anniversary or, dare I say it, proposal! This could be a simple plain gold band, or something like this silver diamond ring.

If you can, the most accurate way to get your ring size is to visit me or go to a high street jeweller. Try on rings that are a similar width to the piece you are interested in as width can make a difference to ring size.

Even with all the best plans, rings sometimes need their size adjusting. Fortunately resizing is normally possible within a size or two. The first resize is free, future sizing will incur a charge. I’m always happy to discuss options and will work closely with you to ensure we get your ring size right.

Good question! And one everyone should be asking. For me, being ethical means knowing the provenance of my materials, minimising my impact on the environment and using my purchasing power to be a force for positive change.

When you purchase a piece of responsibly sourced jewellery (or any other product for that matter), you are exercising your consumer right to demand higher standards of production. In the case of jewellery, this means being able to track your jewellery from the mine to the finished piece.

If you’ve seen a piece of jewellery in my gallery, journal or social media but can’t find it in my shop please get in touch. Chances are I can make the same – or similar – to order. Many precious stones are unique. I may be able to source similar but not exactly the same shape/size/colour of stone used in previous work. We will work together to find the something that is just right for you.
