It’s that time of year (almost) when it seems that there are fairs, exhibitions and events going on everywhere! It’s difficult knowing which ones are worth going to, but I can highly recommend the Made In Bristol Gift Fairs in the Colston Hall. It has been running for quite a few years now and is highly successful in a fantastic venue. There is always a great range of high quality handmade goods making it perfect for sorting your Christmas/birthday shopping all in one go or collecting a range of business cards for future reference.
I will be there for ALL FOUR Fairs this year! Eek! I’ve always done one or two a year for around 5 years now but this year I’ve decided to go for it and do them all. Consequently I will have LOTS of new stock! If you don’t already follow me on Instagram or Facebook then pop over and click ‘follow’/’like’ now as I will be sharing new jewellery designs on there over the coming weeks and you may see pieces that I never get round to listing in my online shops. Some pieces will be limited range only so feel free to contact me to make sure you get yours before they sell out!
The dates for Made In Bristol this year are –
Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 November, 10am – 4pm
Saturday 1 December, 10am – 4pm
Saturday 8 December, 10am – 4pm
I am also excited to be trying out a new fair in Corsham – the Indulgence & Shopping Evening, Corsham School, Wednesday 21 November, 7-9pm. If you’re local please do come and say hello.
And last but not least, I will also be attending the Chosen Wedding Fair on Sunday 17 February 2019, 11am – 4pm at the Paintworks Event Space, Bristol. But more on this one in the new year – I can’t think that far ahead just yet!
I look forward to seeing you soon!
These earrings are a follow up from a previous commission to re-purpose some old gold rings into a new wedding band. The gold was melted down and formed into 2mm square wire with plenty to make a wedding ring and have some leftover for a future project.
So it brought a smile to my face to hear from Hannah again about using the rest of her gold for her mum’s birthday this summer! I was told her mum loved green which couldn’t be more perfect as the combination of yellow gold and green gemstones is stunning. Continue reading Commission: Recycled Gold Peridot Earrings
It was lovely to see this diamond ring back on my bench for a clean and polish as well as matching it to a bespoke shaped wedding band. The ring had worn very well and has clearly been looked after as cleaning and polishing was a quick job!
I originally made the diamond ring quite some time ago from 18ct Fairtrade white gold with an ethically sourced large white diamond. Like so many engagement ring, the diamond sits wider than the band and so required a wedding band specially shaped to fit. Following a consultation with Continue reading Commission: Wishbone Shaped 18ct White Gold Wedding Band
This ring was a recent (ish) commission to resize and update an existing silver and gold ring. The original – which I neglected to take a photo of – was a silver band with a small plain gold section. Simple and elegant. The ring however was now too small and so to resize it, I carefully cut the gold section straight down the middle and added a gold stone setting with a flush set white diamond. Really pleased with the final piece and it’s now got a new lease of life being worn again! Continue reading Commission: Silver & Gold Diamond Ring
I’m excited to show you a few new additions to my Simplicity Collection!
Life has – unsurprisingly – been very busy over the last few years with a little person (and also an epic garden project which took up a lot more time than originally planned!) but I’m buzzing with ideas at the moment Continue reading New Simplicity Collection Designs 2018
